Alternative Pest Control
Tuesday, October 15 2013

There is a reason spiders are associated with Halloween that goes beyond being creepy-crawly. This time of year is when spiders become the most active and visible. They have been growing steadily since spring and have reached their full size. Many of the spiders you see in your home now, probably came inside during the heavy rains this summer but were too small to be noticed. Some of them may be males that are on the move looking for a mate. Females can become especially large because they are about to lay their eggs before the first freeze.

Most spiders are harmless but the majority people would prefer not to share their home with them. So if your suddenly seeing more spiders than you can stomach, just give us a call at 770-995-5053.

Stay tuned for posts about the two spiders that are not so harmless: the black widow and the brown recluse. We'll show you how to identify and avoid being bitten by these poisonous georgia spiders.
